Note that to be eligible for these stipends you must have been accepted onto the relevant course. You should apply for the course first (deadline end of March), which does not commit you to accepting the place.

What we offer

• Stipend of £2,000 for students taking the Global Philosophy of Religion Pathway though the MA programme in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at the University of Birmingham
• 10 stipends across the academic years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027

Eligibility criteria

• The applicant has been accepted into the MA program in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at the University of Birmingham.
• The applicant intends to pursue the Global Philosophy of Religion Pathway in the program.
• The applicant intends to write an MA thesis that is relevant to the theme of GPR-2

Selection criteria

We will assess each application according to the following:

• The quality of the application, including the personal statement and references
• The applicant’s academic record as an undergraduate student

Preference will be given to students not in receipt of other funding provided through the University of Birmingham.
