On 25th September 2026, the University of Botswana held a symposium on The Meaning of Life and the Value of Human Life: Perspectives from African Philosophy of Religion. With funding from the Global Philosophy of Religion 2 project and with our postdoc Dr Aribiah Attoe as the guest speaker, the event was a great success. It forms part of a series of workshops in different parts of Africa, following on from our GPR2 conference in Calabar, Nigeria, which aim to provide support for a wider network of philosophers across the continent.
